NAFC Junior Section round-up

A round up of this week’s football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s Reds – Played against Riverside Junior Whites, in a game with lots of positives, we scored goals through Joseph and Kian. MOTM was Michael who did well in his first game in goal.

Under 7’s Whites – Played Boldon FC, Aycliffe played and scored two good goals from Felix. MOTM was Louie for his brave display in goal.

Under 7’s Juniors – Played Foundation of Light Pumas, it was an entertaining game full of goals, scored by Lincoln, Reign and Colton. MOTM was Luke who worked hard for the team.

Under 10’s Whites – Played against Boldon CA Girls. It was a tough game and Aycliffe scored goals through Lucas and Arran. MOTM was Kai for his positive attacking play.

Under 10’s Blacks – Hosted Riverside Juniors Athletic, Aycliffe started off strongly attacking from the first whistle and created numerous chances but just could not find the goal they deserved. An impressive performance nether the less. MOTM was Jacob who worked tirelessly in Midfield.

Under 11’s Juniors – Hosted Spennymoor, in the first half Aycliffe played some great football and matched the opposition. Into the second half it was a tough task, but Aycliffe never give up with goals from Jonah & Dec. MOTM was Matty for his energy & positive attitude all game.

Under 11’s Blacks – Played against Coxhoe Utd Blacks. Aycliffe started well, creating chances, but could not find the goal they deserved. MOTM was Charlie for some excellent saves.

Under 12’s – Travelled to Billingham this morning. In a physical game, it was Aycliffe who come away with a 1-0, courtesy of a goal from Alex and a wonderful penalty save from Trent. MOTM was Evan.

Under 13’s – Travelled to Stockton Royals for a cup game and come away with a 3-1 win, with goals from Oliver, Alexander & Keaton. MOTM was Oliver.

Under 15’s – Lost 1-0 in a tight game against TIBS, Aycliffe performed well and were unlucky not to get anything out of the game. MOTM was Connor.

Under 15’s Reds – Beat Guisborough Blacks 3-2. Aycliffe fought back twice in the game after trailing 1-0 and then 2-1. A last-minute penalty meant Aycliffe took the three points. Goals from Jed and a brace for Harry.

Under 17’s – Travelled to Deerness Valley Thunder and come away with a very impressive 5-0 victory.

Under 18’s – Hosted Seaton Carew in the league cup and were untouchable, winning 12-0. It was 6-0 at half time Aycliffe made four changes at half time and dominated the game. The goals were scored by Jack (5), Zack (4), Charlie, Max, and Josh.

On Saturday, we held our first ever Fundraising Colour Run at Moore Lane Sports Club, the event which was a great success with all kids enjoying the run that also included a bouncy castle, food and DJ.
