Merger gives Aycliffe firm the edge

December 1st, 2021 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

A new collaboration between two tech firms has created an ambitious new company which is taking its services global and creating new jobs.

What used to be Pixel Media on Aycliffe Business Park has merged with Gloucestershire-based Infuze Group to create Digital Edge.

Directors Ian Proctor and Graham Marsh started Pixel Media in 2017, focusing on graphic design and marketing.

Four years later, what started as two has become ten, with two offices expanding.

Having offices in both the North-East and now the South of England, Digital Edge nurtures its national clients while growing internationally, making deals in the furthest continents.

The company now has teams of specialist developers, marketing specialists and graphic designers.

Digital Edge is now looking to grow and expand in the short and long-term, adding graphic designers, sales and admin staff to the team over the next six months.

Ian and Graham were joined by Infuze directors Joanna and Scott Purslowe at the launch of Digital Edge, celebrated at the Aviator Gin bar on Aycliffe Business Park.

Ian said: “It was amazing to see so many people at the launch event, I was truly humbled.

“It was an incredible night when customers, business friends and family joined us to celebrate how far Pixel Media has come and the start of a new era of Infuze Group and Pixel Media merging into Digital Edge.

“We are now a full business online solution for Wix platform for websites. We believe that Wix can provide more usability and give power back to the businesses using the platform while still receiving professional support.

“We are working across the world with new customers in the US, Israel, Australia and across the UK.”

The launch of Digital Edge has also opened the Aycliffe firm to the landscape of software development.

Scott Purslowe from Infuze Group is a coding expert as well as one of only 20 Wix masters in the world, specialising in the Wix website platform.

Ian added: “Scott can make anything and any idea possible, creating custom elements, pushing the limits of Wix.

“Due to the potential of Wix, Digital Edge is yet to turn away a customer as they could not code to their exact needs.

“Unlike other website builders, Wix allows for simple backend management that can be integrated with management systems – CRMs and client management systems are now possible with Digital Edge.

“We’re going beyond Aycliffe Business Park, growing internationally while nurturing our home turf.

“We believe Digital Edge will grow even more as we explore the endless possibilities Wix offers us and our clients.”

Digital Edge says one of the benefits of Wix is the simple back-end management system that enables website owners to go in and update things themselves. It is easy to put blogs, videos and images onto your site, and can even be done from your phone.

Ian added: “It is power back to the people. We are helping businesses manage their own website properly without needing a Masters in IT.

“We can now build effective software solutions like Customer Relationship Management systems, HR software or other digital solutions that can automate large parts of business operations. With Scott onboard, we can solve big digital problems for our customers.

“We are building a digital platform which will create further job opportunities within the business over the next six months.”
