Meet the Police Interceptors at Aycliffe Family Fun Day!

July 21st, 2016 Martin Walker News 0 comments 0

The Durham Police Interceptors will be on show during a special free family fun day in Newton Aycliffe next week.

The TV cops will make up just some of the family entertainment during the day at Aycliffe Town Centre on Thursday 28th July, between 10am and 4pm.

The event, in association with Star Radio, has been organised by the town centre to celebrate the police, fire services and armed forces.

A host of army, police and firefighting equipment will be on display during the day, while Craig Andrews from Star Radio will be live from the event between 10am and 2pm.

Visitors will be able to meet and talk to officers from Channel 5’s hit TV show Police Interceptors and get a close-up look at their cars in real life.

There will also be a variety of police officers on hand to show you around their vehicles and answer your questions, while Durham and Darlington Fire & Rescue will also have an appliance on display for youngsters to check out.

Our local army reservists from 124 Recovery Company Reme, 201 Field Hospital and D Company 5 Royal Regiment of Fusilier will also be there with some of their equipment and machinery.

A BB gun range and a Bouncy Castle will also be available for youngsters to form what promises to be a great free day out for all ages… and it’s completely FREE!

There’ll be lots to do and chances to win prizes with Star Radio… it’s a must do visit!
