Marketing agency scores three points for event marketing

September 15th, 2015 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Aycliffe Business Park’s only inbound marketing agency, Thrive Marketing, is definitely on to a winner with its event campaign for Butterwick Hospice.

Thrive has been awarded the job of managing the event marketing for local charity, Butterwick Hospice.

Having crafted a careful strategy for both the design of promotional materials and a content plan for social media messaging, as well as creating a PR plan with neighbouring Aycliffe firm Mantis Media, Thrive won the job to publicise the rugby-themed event.

The Butterwick Hospice Sportsman’s Dinner takes place on Friday 18th September and celebrates the opening of the Rugby World Cup 2015 at the prestigious Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield.

Guests will be treated to a hosted reception, three course dinner and the opening ceremony and first rugby match – England v Fiji – of the World Cup, screened in full.

Thrive is overseeing the marketing of the event and will also be in attendance on the evening, to help cheer England on in their first match of the competition.

Thrive director Rachel Townsend Green, pictured (above) with Butterwick Hospice fundraising team leader Clair McGregor, said: “It’s great for our team to get stuck into such a fantastic project, particularly with it raising funds for Butterwick Hospice, which provides such an amazing level of support to so many local people.

“Our content marketing team are crafting a social media strategy while our creative teams pull together some fantastic designs for the event – it’s going to be a wonderful evening for all who attend.”

The event will feature Leicester Tigers’ centre and England player, Manu Tuilagi, who is heavily tipped to feature in the 2016 Six Nations competition. Manu will host a Q&A session during the evening and provide half time commentary.

If that wasn’t enough, legendary snooker player and hilarious MC, Willie Thorne, will be providing entertainment too.

There will also be an auction on the night to help raise funds for Butterwick Hospice.

Butterwick Hospice fundraising team leader Clair McGregor said: “The opportunity to run this incredible event came at really short notice so we knew we had to be able to reach a wide amount of people in a very limited time frame.

“With this challenge, we needed a team who could support our existing resources and Thrive has the exact approach and abilities that we need to achieve this.”

Butterwick Hospice provides a number of services for those of all ages, who are living with a progressive life limiting illness. The hospice relies on charitable donations to help fund its many services, all of which are free to those diagnosed and their loved ones.

• Tickets for the event cost £49pp or VIP packages can be bought for £99pp.
