Important law update seminar for employers

December 2nd, 2016 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Paul Humble, Head of Employment Law at Whitehead & Low Solicitors LLP based on Aycliffe Business Park, talks about a free employment law seminar he’s hosting on the park in January…

We are hosting the first of a series of employment law updates in January, with a free breakfast seminar covering the topic of employee liability, with particular reference to discrimination.

Some of the key questions facing your business today are:

• How and when is your business liable for the actions of your employees?

• What steps can you take to minimise that liability?

• How best to protect your business?

We will also provide a brief update on the impact of ‘Brexit’ upon employee rights. Arrive early for coffee and bacon or sausage butties and an opportunity to network.

Whitehead and Low Solicitors has had an office on Aycliffe Business Park now for nearly 18 months. We’re a commercial practice with offices in Northumberland and Aycliffe, with our employment lawyers based here on the business park.

I’m head of Head of Employment Law at the firm and have 18 years’ experience of acting for businesses throughout the country with the main focus being the North East.

The aim of the seminars is to keep local employers abreast of employment law developments which affect their businesses on a daily basis. The seminars will be free to businesses based on the park.

The first employment update event is being held at the Xcel Centre on Tuesday 10th January, 8.30-10.00am, and although it is free, people who would like to attend must register online, which only takes a couple of minutes.

You can register direct by clicking here.
