Green champions Ebac UK sponsor Environment category for Aycliffe awards event

March 1st, 2024 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Another of Newton Aycliffe’s high-profile businesses is again supporting the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards by becoming a category sponsor.

Ebac UK is sponsoring the Environment category for the awards event being held at Hardwick Hall Hotel on May 9.

The washing machine and dehumidifier manufacturer joins Husqvarna, Gestamp, Stiller Warehousing and Distribution, Business Durham, GEM Partnership and Recruitrite as category sponsors so far, along with Aycliffe Business Park Community.

Ebac chairman John Elliott – pictured with Aycliffe Business Park Community (ABPC) chair Kerina Clark – said: “Networking with local businesses is always useful and the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards are an excellent way of doing it.

“As a company we make energy-efficient products. For example, our washing machine is the most energy efficient machine that which the consumer group have tested.

“Our dehumidifiers use AI which makes them better than all our competitors. Our water coolers have the most efficient hot water.

“Our heat pumps have high efficiency. These products reduce the carbon footprint of our customers, so it’s appropriate that we sponsored the Environment category in these awards and we look forward to recognising other Aycliffe companies who are working hard on their green credentials.”

Kerina Clark said: “It’s fantastic to have Ebac UK on board as sponsors of the Make Your Mark Awards again this year.

“Ebac really do fly the flag for UK manufacturing, with their washing machine manufacturing line putting them and Aycliffe Business Park on the national map.

“The work they’re doing now with heat pumps is testament to Ebac’s ingenuity and the entrepreneurial spirit that exists on the business park, so we’re delighted they’re joining us in celebrating our collective achievements on May 9.”

Entries have now closed for the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards, and the shortlists for the 11 categories will be revealed from Monday, March 11.

Only two category sponsorships are now remaining, including the Company of the Year award and the Lifetime Achievement category.

Businesses interested in the last remaining sponsorship packages can contact Martin Walker on 01642 450255 or email [email protected].
