Gestamp supports Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards even

March 22nd, 2024 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Newton Aycliffe’s biggest employer is supporting the relaunch of the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards by being a category sponsor.

Gestamp is sponsoring the Community Champions category for the awards event being held at Hardwick Hall Hotel on May 9.

The car parts manufacturer joins Husqvarna, Ebac, Stiller Warehousing and Distribution, Business Durham, GEM Partnership, Recruitrite and Cornerstone Business Solutions as category sponsors.

Gestamp’s Aycliffe plant manager Jonathan Phillips – pictured above with Aycliffe Business Park Community (ABPC) chair Kerina Clark – said: “Gestamp cares for its employees and the local community and through our Wellbeing Matters strategy we have focussed on prioritising wellbeing as a fundamental aspect of our day-to-day business.

“From ensuring safe working environments to fostering a culture of support and development, we recognise that our success is intricately linked with not just the welfare of its workforce but also the Aycliffe town.

“Through initiatives like sponsoring the Community Champions category in the Make Your Mark Awards, the company celebrates the unsung heroes and the remarkable contributions of businesses and individuals who share our common values of resilience, dedication and community.

“Sponsoring this award not only reflect Gestamp Tallent’s commitment to its social responsibility but ensures a prosperous community in which we all work.”

Kerina Clark said: “As the town’s largest employer, we’re delighted to have Gestamp on board as sponsors again of the Make Your Mark Awards.

“For these awards events to work we need the support of all companies and organisations across the business park, but to have Gestamp involved really is a stamp of approval for the awards.

“We look forward to sharing all our successes with Gestamp and all our guests on May 9.”

Businesses interested in the last remaining sponsorship packages can contact Martin Walker on 01642 450255 or email [email protected].

Tickets costing £85 per head, or £800 for a table of 10 (+vat), include a welcome drink, table wine, 3-course dinner and a souvenir programme. They’re available by emailing [email protected].
