FREE ARTS & CRAFTS WORKSHOPS

July 18th, 2012 Martin Walker Community, News 0 comments 0

If you’re looking for something free to do with the kids this summer, this could be for you!

The weekly ‘Colour your Life’ art sessions at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe are held indoors and always buzzing with creative activity for all ages.

The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) have organised weekly family sessions that encourage all ages to get creative.

The classes are packed with easy, fun projects and activities such as painting, sculpture, graffiti and dance, allowing youngsters to express themselves in a variety of ways.

The family sessions in the school holidays are on Tuesday mornings, then from September the family sessions will be every Saturday 10-12noon.

The dates are:
· Tuesday 24 July, 10.30am-12noon
· Tuesday 31 July, 10.30am-12noon
· Tuesday 7 August, 10.30am-1.30pm- Olympic themed Family Fun Day! Free entry and free activities- family games, arts and crafts, healthy, cooking and smoothie making.
· Tuesday 14 August, 10.30am-12noon

The sessions are free and children attending must be under eleven years old and accompanied by an adult.

The mixed craft sessions for adults on a Friday morning & afternoon and Saturday morning welcomes people who would like to learn a new craft from professional artists who are working in the marketplace today.

Plus all classes take place in pleasant surroundings and give everyone the chance to learn new skills, make new friends and relax in a friendly atmosphere. No artistic experience or quality necessary!

Why not call today to find out more or to book your place at the family summer sessions.
