Do you represent a local organisation or group that provides activities to help improve people’s lifestyles?

Would you like a free spot in the Active Aycliffe tent at the Great Aycliffe Show?

The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) are part of a local partnership called ‘Active Aycliffe’, which aims to help get children, young people and families fitter and healthier and participate in activities more.

To promote and encourage this initiative there will be an ‘Active Aycliffe’ partnership tent at the Great Aycliffe Show on 24/25 August at Oakleaf Sports Complex, which will showcase the activities of local organisations such as the PCP, Lifestyle Fitness, GAMP and Healthwatch County Durham as well as clubs and associations who will be demonstrating their sports and activities.

Last year 1,936 people visited the Active Aycliffe tent and this year they’re aiming to attract more people with a fuller range of what’s available in Aycliffe help get children, young people and families fitter and healthier and participate in activities to improve their lifestyles

The tent (60 x 30ft marquee with full interlocking wood floor) is large enough for small demonstrations (there is also space outside of the tent if required) If you would like to attend with an information stand please have a think of something interactive to do with visitors which gives people a taster of what you provide and hopefully encourage people to engage after the event.   This is a fantastic opportunity to reach thousands of people from Aycliffe and the surrounding areas, stalls will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Priority will be given to activities being delivered in Aycliffe that fit with the Active Aycliffe aims.   The ‘Active Aycliffe’ partnership consists of Durham County Council’s Sport and Physical Activity Team, Great Aycliffe and Middridge Partnership (GAMP), Woodham Academy, One Point, Great Aycliffe Town Council and the Rotary Club, have got together to raise the profile of what’s going on in Aycliffe.

If you represent a local organisation/group that fits in with the Active Aycliffe aims above and would like to provide a demonstration or book a stall please contact Angie Cooke, Events & Project Admin Development Worker at PCP on email: [email protected] tel: 01325 321234.  Stalls will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
