Fast-growing recruitment company backs 2025 Aycliffe Make Your Mark Awards

March 31st, 2025 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

A fast-growing Stockton firm that specialises in recruitment for the care sector is supporting the 2025 Aycliffe Make Your Mark Awards by being a category sponsor.

Moonrise 24hr Recruitment is sponsoring the Service Business of the Year category for the awards event being held at Hardwick Hall Hotel on May 8, in association with Senstronics.

Murtek, Metrick Consultancy and Pioneering Care Partnership are hoping to take away the Service Business of the Year award at the big night.

They’re hoping to emulate previous Service Business winners Digital Edge, Occupational Health & Training Services, Eldon Financial, Trident Manor, Beaumont Grounds Maintenance and Gregg Little Testing Centre.

Moonrise was started in 2014 by experienced registered nurse Jessica Gwaringa to provide high-quality domiciliary care and agency staffing across the North-East.

Since then, it has grown impressively to occupy its own premises on Stockton’s Preston Farm business park, from where it coordinates more than 340 care and nursing professionals across the UK.

With services including domiciliary care, supported living, children’s services and agency cover for the private and public sectors, and rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission, Moonrise has picked up a clutch of awards – including the coveted Business of the Year title at the 2024 Tees Businesswomen Awards.

And earlier this year, Moonrise won the VelociTees Turnover – Large Business trophy for 2025, thanks to a year that saw its turnover leap by a remarkable 118%, from £8.33m to £18.27m.

Moonrise managing director Jessica Gwaringa said: “At Moonrise, we are honoured to support initiatives that celebrate those who go above and beyond.

“We are delighted to be a proud sponsor of this year’s Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards, celebrating the incredible dedication, passion and achievements of individuals and organisations making a real difference.

“We would like to wish all the nominees the very best of luck. Your hard work and commitment truly deserve to be recognised.”

Martin Walker, of event organisers Resolution Media and Publishing, said: “Moonrise are fast becoming one of Teesside’s biggest success stories of recent years, and their story is a truly inspirational one.

“We’re delighted to be working with Moonrise on the Make Your Mark Awards and look forward to celebrating Aycliffe Business Park’s achievements on May 8.”

Moonrise joins Husqvarna UK, Business Durham, GEM Partnership and The Auckland Project as category sponsors so far, as well as headline sponsor Senstronics.

There are now only two category sponsorships remaining, while tickets are also on sale for the event, priced £85 (+vat) per person, or £800 (+vat) for a table of 10, which includes a welcome drink, 3-course dinner, table wine, souvenir programme and the awards ceremony.

Those interested in either sponsorship or buying tickets can email [email protected] or call 01642 450255.
