CUT-PRICE ROSES TICKETS FOR SALE!

March 29th, 2012 Martin Walker Music, News 0 comments 0

By Martin Walker

An Aycliffe resident hopes to sell two concert tickets for a sought-after gig this coming summer, after coming a cropper due to a mix-up with his dates.

The embarrassed Newtonian – who wishes to remain unnamed at this stage – felt on top of the world when he purchased two tickets to watch his favourite boyhood band The Stone Roses back in October, for the upcoming reunion tour.

However, after checking his calendar, the 30-year-old found to his horror that the gig clashed with his honeymoon trip to the United States, leaving him with an unwanted dilemma.

“I’m gutted,” he remarked, “all I’ve ever wanted to do is to go and see the Roses if they ever reformed.

“I was too young when they were in their pomp and when I heard they were getting back together to tour, I simply had to have the tickets.

“I never even thought about checking dates, I just rushed into the phone queues, and didn’t hang up until I had bought my tickets.”

It wasn’t until a week ago that the penny dropped, leaving this Newtonian forced with no other option but to relist his tickets for sale, via the outlet where he originally purchased them, the safe ticketing site, www.viagogo.co.uk

“I’m taking a hit on the tickets in order to obtain a quick and easy sale, but I can’t let the tickets go for nothing,” said our unfortunate resident.

“I’m set to lose somewhere in the region of £70, and when I’ve looked around the site, of over 200 listings, mine is in the top-20 cheapest.”
