Crafter’s Companion puts on the glitz to celebrate 17th anniversary

October 19th, 2022 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Crafter’s Companion is celebrating 17 years in business.

To commemorate the milestone, the global craft retailer has planned a vintage Hollywood themed celebration, from October 17-30.

The event will feature a series of special live shows and extravagant giveaways on its digital platform, Crafter’s TV and partner shopping channel, HobbyMaker.

In addition to a schedule of live and interactive shows, Crafter’s Companion is offering exclusive deals, launching brand new products and giving away special birthday favours to any customers who place an order on its UK, EU and US websites.

Crafter’s Companion was founded by Sara Davies MBE in 2005, when she was studying for a business degree at York University.

While undergoing the placement, Sara spotted a gap in the market for a tool which could create bespoke envelopes for crafters.

With this in mind, Sara created The Enveloper and Crafter’s Companion was born.

Today, the company employs more than 200 staff and has a head office and global distribution centre on Aycliffe Business Park, as well as a head office in Corona, California.

Sara said: “I can’t quite believe that we’re heading into our 17th year of Crafter’s Companion!

“I am so proud of everything we have been able to accomplish in the past two decades, and we have a lot of exciting upcoming projects lined up for 2023.

“Our birthday celebration is our busiest trading time of year and everyone works immensely hard to pull off an event that is always bigger and better than the last – it’s the ultimate team project.

“It’s been a challenging couple of years and our birthday event is a fantastic opportunity to give something back to the people who have supported us through thick and thin!”
