County Durham to get larger NFU Mutual Agency

November 3rd, 2022 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

The Four NFU Mutual Agencies which are based throughout County Durham have joined forces to create one agency, increasing the capacity of the insurance company to serve its communities and creating two new Agent positions.

The NFU Mutual Durham Districts Agency is seeking applicants for the Agent positions immediately, along with a newly created Agency Business Manager and Agricultural Executive position. Further additions are planned in the coming months.

This enlarged workforce will operate across the four offices in County Durham, continuing to serve customers and their communities with the first-class, personal service for which NFU Mutual is known.

Andrew Cuthbertson, who has over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry, including many years managing the NFU Mutual Durham Districts branch, will be the senior agent for the new Agency. He will be supported by agents Claire Gilson and Emma Mitchell.

“This is a very exciting time for NFU Mutual in County Durham, and we’re looking forward to growing our team with talent from the local area,” said Andrew.

“By joining our two Agencies, we can give ourselves the opportunity to grow as a local business, developing even greater specialities and levels of expertise which will ultimately help us provide the best possible service to members.

“All four NFU Mutual offices in County Durham will now be linked, helping us to pool resources and match customers with subject-matter experts while maintaining the personal service customers expect from NFU Mutual.”

The new, amalgamated agency opened on November 1, and will provide a range of insurance for home, motor, commercial and farming customers, as well as financial planning advice.

For farming customers, Andrew, Claire and Emma will also take on the role of NFU group secretaries for Darlington, Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle branches until permanent secretaries are appointed.
