Community Association members enjoy trip out on classic bus

June 4th, 2019 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

Members of Horndale Community Association enjoyed a trip out on a classic bus.

They travelled on the beautiful 1950’s United coach, ran by Aycliffe and District bus Preservation Society, to Dobbie’s Garden Centre in Birtley, where they enjoyed a lovely afternoon.

“We were given a talk on planting pots, hanging baskets and other gardening tips,” said association chair Philip Clark.

“After which we were treated to a great afternoon tea with lots of sandwiches, cakes and unending pots of tea and coffee, we all left with a doggie bag of food.

“The trip was funded through Great Aycliffe and Middridge Partnership (GAMP) and supported by Tesco.

“This support and that of others helps us to continue our work providing community building trips and events involving everyone.”
