Business Durham backs Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards

April 12th, 2024 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

The business support arm of Durham County Council is supporting the relaunch of the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards by being a category sponsor.

Business Durham is sponsoring the Small Business of the Year category for the awards event being held at Hardwick Hall Hotel on May 9.

Excelpoint, C&A Embroidery & Print and NC Group will battle it out for the Small Business award after being shortlisted.

Business Durham joins Husqvarna, Gestamp, Stiller Warehousing and Distribution, GEM Partnership, Recruitrite and Cornerstone Business Solutions as category sponsors.

“Business Durham is proud to be sponsoring the Small Business Award at the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards,” said Business Durham managing director Sarah Slaven, pictured with Ayclife Business Park Community board member Ian Proctor.

“Celebrating the remarkable achievements of the businesses on Aycliffe Business Park is not just an honour; it’s a vital recognition of their innovation and influence.

“Small businesses are such an important part of our business community, and the diverse and high-calibre entries really highlight the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit that defines our county.

“We believe in championing and investing in the success of local businesses, and these awards are a powerful platform to amplify their stories and contributions.

“Together, we celebrate the ingenuity, determination, and success that make our business community thrive.”

Ian Proctor added: “Business Durham has been a constant source of invaluable support to companies not just on Aycliffe Business Park, but the whole of the county, for a number of years.

“Sarah Slaven also spent almost 10 years as a director of Aycliffe Business Park Community until recently and played a critical role in the development of ABPC and its events.

“We’re delighted to have Business Durham’s support with the Make Your Mark Awards and we look forward to joining them at the awards ceremony on May 9.”

Tickets for the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards are available for £85 per head, or £800 for a table of 10 (+vat), which includes a welcome drink, table wine, 3-course dinner and a souvenir programme for every guest. They’re available by emailing [email protected].
