BURGLARY IN GUTHRUM PLACE

Police in Aycliffe are appealing for information after a burglary in the Guthrum Place area of the town.

It happened during the early hours of last Saturday (7th April), when a piece of concrete had been thrown through the kitchen window, entry was gained and a WII games console was taken.

In his regular blog on Aycliffe Today, Aycliffe’s Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant Mark Edwards has is also appealing for information with relation to two other crimes in the town.

Overnight on Saturday 31st March, into 1st April, a wing mirror on a light blue SEAT IBIZA was broken off. The vehicle was parked in Finchale Road, Newton Aycliffe opposite Gregory Court.

Meanwhile, overnight on Friday 30th March, into Saturday 31st, the glass to a window of the changing rooms at the Sports Pavilion, Simpasture Park, Barrington Road, Newton Aycliffe was smashed.
