Baghdaddies bring brass and cheer

August 11th, 2020 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

Greenfield Arts were delighted to welcome the fabulous Baghdaddies this summer to their site, brightening up the day for an invited audience with their special brand of music as they performed their ‘doorstep’ offer.

The outdoor opportunity brought together adults from our local community and some of our Cree group to reconnect together face to face and enjoy an afternoon of marvellous music.

The band, based locally in Newcastle, played their special brand of Balkan Boogie, getting the audience tapping their feet and singing along, making the careful social distance feel less of a barrier, as everyone enjoyed the latin and ska beats.

“Greenfield Arts were delighted to host this live music performance and are committed to promoting high quality arts opportunities for the wider community,” said the school.

“A big thank you to Jack Drum Arts for bringing this to Greenfield Arts and to County Durham Community Foundation and other supporters who enabled the offer.”
