Newton Aycliffe Youth FC gave great support to Fun in the Park on Tuesday, when over 20 young players from the club took part in a friendly football tournament.
The players were from our development section through to our under 9’s and were split up into four evenly-matched teams.
NAYFC Secretary Berni Borsberry said: “On a glorious sunny day the effort and tremendous ability shown by these young boys was hugely appreciated by the large crowd.
“A big thanks to our coaches and helpers who looked after the boys and ensured that they enjoyed the day.”
At the end of the games everyone who took part were presented with medals by the Town Mayoress.
The football club offers football for boys from 5-16 yrs old and also are developing a team of girls who are going into Yr 5 after the summer holidays.
