Aycliffe tech firms wins FSB award

March 27th, 2024 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Newton Aycliffe-based Excelpoint has won the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Innovation Award for the North-East region.

The announcement came at an awards event held at the prestigious Wynyard Hall Hotel, where Gary Swinburn, Excelpoint’s head of strategic partnerships, accepted the award on behalf of the team.

The FSB Innovation Award recognises businesses for bold, new business models and innovative products that deliver dramatic results. Excelpoint’s success recognises its commitment to pushing technology boundaries to deliver transformative solutions for its customers.

Set to represent the North-East region, Excelpoint will attend the FSB National Final at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on May 9.

Excelpoint won the award for its comprehensive no-code platform embraced by global brands and SMEs to manage and harmonise information across operations with consistency, efficiency, and scalability.

The platform enables teams to rapidly self-build solutions with no technical skills or utilise Excelpoint’s team of professional product consultants to build a solution on behalf of the customer.

CEO Ian Brown said: “This accolade stands as a testament to the dedication and efforts of the Excelpoint team and what its no-code platform is achieving for its customers without coding.

“Our customer-centric approach, facilitated by regular customer interactions, has provided invaluable insights that have driven our product development, ensuring scalability and functionality to meet business and market needs.

“We are immensely proud to be delivering world-class software.”

Excelpoint have also been shortlisted in the Innovation and Small Business categories of the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards, also being held on May 9.
