Aycliffe tech firm appoints two business development managers

January 29th, 2021 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Aycliffe tech firm Excelpoint has appointed two new business development managers to further extend its growth.

Throughout the global pandemic, Excelpoint’s team has continued to work from home, supporting customers to efficiently and effectively introduce remote working, enabling workforces worldwide to access central systems and information.

Due to the urgency to transition to home-based working, it deployed software for both new and existing customer at pace and cost-effectively.

Excelpoint – usually based at the Work Place on Aycliffe Business Park – has seen demand for business process automation increase significantly in recent years as organisations embrace new digital technologies to achieve efficiencies and cost-saving across the business.

Managing Director Ian Brown said: “Along with the introduction of new technologies to enable home-based working, the last 12 months has seen organisations embrace innovative and efficient ways of operating to prepare for any challenges the future may bring.

“Our plans ensure we are in a position to support organisations to transition to a new way of working and embrace a digital transformation.”

The two new members of the business development team bring a wealth of sales and account management experience.

With a career spanning 40 years, Dave Spencer (above, right) has a wealth of business development experience across software, retail, training and education.

Dave has also spent many years on the bench at Teesside Magistrate Court and as an IMB member at Kirk Livingston Prison.

Dave said: “I am excited to be joining such a fast-growing business, and one positioned within the software sector.

“With my experience, I am looking forward to applying my skills to support the business growth strategy moving forward and to engage and support customers to gain a better understanding of the importance of undergoing a digital journey.”

Paul Shackleston (above, left) has over 30 years of business development experience working in the financial services, photocopiers and document management software, and capital equipment sectors.

The appointment of Paul and Dave will enable further growth for the business and expansion into new markets.

Paul added: “It is certainly an exciting time for businesses within the software sector.

“I am looking forward to working with globally and regionally recognised brands to support them in adopting our no-code technology and achieving enterprise-wide business process automation.”

Ian continued: “2020 was certainly a memorable year for us all with many uncertainties and new challenges.

“We focused our team on our business growth strategy, adopting new routes to market, launching a new brand and website and amid a global pandemic, we continued to deliver high-profile contracts and provide support to our existing customer base.

“We hope to support many more organisations to become more agile, and we remain optimistic about the future.”

Operating in the fourth industrial revolution – the digital transformation – Excelpoint empowers organisations worldwide to create efficient automated enterprise-wide business systems and workflows.

It is leading the way in the no-code software sector, implementing solutions to realise cost savings, improve efficiency, enhance the customer experience, improve data accuracy, automate management reporting and drive employee engagement.

The Excelpoint no-code software has evolved over 25 years and drives the business processes of globally recognised brands including Minova Global, EDF Energy Cyclife, Kaefer, NHS Trusts, Anglian Water, HMRC, Hanson, Balfour Beatty, NATS, Taylor Hobson and Denholm Industrial Services.
