A round-up of Newton Aycliffe Juniors Action…

Under 8’s Juniors – Kicked off their season with a home game against local rivals Bishop Auckland, Aycliffe did very well from the start with goals from Cooper (2), Harry (2), Joey (2), Lewis, Oliver, and an OG.

Under 8 Blues – Had their first ever league game away to Hartlepool St. Francis Blues. Alex, Nate, and Carter came close on several occasions, but Aycliffe could not get the goal they deserved. MOTM was Nate who created excellent chances from the middle.

Under 9’s Reds – Played against Stokesley, playing very well, and scoring goals from Ollie (3) which was enough to win him coaches MOTM. Parents MOTM was awarded to Michael.

Under 9’s Juniors – Started the season at home to a strong Boro Rangers Barca, a great second half performance saw goals scored by Fletcher, Conner, and Lincoln (2). MOTM was keeper Luke for great distribution and a calm head.

Under 10’s – Played away to Hartlepool St Francis in a very tense game. Aycliffe’s goals were scored by Noah (2) and Eddie (2). MOTM was Isaac for his composure in defence and willingness to get on the ball.

Under 10’s Whites – Kicked off their first ever league campaign at home to Eaglescliffe Elementis and put in a spirited performance, for a team that has only been together for two months.

Under 11’s Reds – Played Billingham Hornets in their first game in a higher division. Aycliffe run away 4-1 winners with goals from Jace, Andrew, Marchall & Koa. MOTM was Jenson who mad some exceptional saves in goal.

Under 12 Whites – Played Seaburn Red Stars away, in what was a tough day for Aycliffe, who couldn’t find the back of the net. MOTM was Lucas who did well in goal.

Under 12’s – Entertained Chilton, in what turned out to be a close game. Aycliffe could not find the breakthrough to score.

Under 13’s Whites – Started the league campaign away at Jarrow United, going down 4-2. The two Aycliffe goals were scored by Maxi. MOTM was Brandon.

Under 13’s Blacks – Travelled to Whickham for first game but could not get the result they wanted with the goal scored by Lucas. MOTM was chosen by Parents was Jake for his great challenges. MOTM from Managers was Olly who worked hard in midfield.

Under 13’s Juniors – Started their 11 aside campaign with an away fixture to Brompton, coming away with a fantastic 7-5 win, with goals from Jonah (6) and an OG.

Under 13’s Juniors – Played there second league game against Darlington RA. The team were confident after their win on Sunday and followed up with a great 3-1 win. Goals from Jonah (2) and Shay. Lucas assisted two with Marley the other. MOMT was Joel and Opposition MOTM was Jonah.

Under 14’s – Kicked off their season with a good win against Shildon. It was a 4-2 win with goals from Oscar J (2) and Rhys (2). MOTM was Trent who pulled off some outstanding saves.

Under 16’s Whites – Travelled to Leven in the rain, coming away with a 4-2 win. Goals from Ethan, Jake, OG, and Henry. MOTM was Adam who controlled midfield.

Under 16’s Blacks – Started the new season travelling to Peterlee. With a new formation, Aycliffe went on to win 5-3 with goals from Jayden (3) and Leon (2). MOTM was Danny.

Under 23’s – Drew 2-2 in the cup against local rivals Newton Aycliffe Sports Club. Sports Club won 6-5 on penalties. MOTM was awarded to Curly and Dom.
