Aycliffe fundraising group holds Ladies Night for Marie Curie

A volunteer group in Newton Aycliffe is hosting its first Ladies Night to raise funds for Marie Curie.

The Newton Aycliffe Fundraising Group will be holding the event at Aycliffe Sports Club in the town on Friday October 21, and local residents are invited to come along and take part enjoy the evening.

Entertainment will be provided by female harmony group Quartz, and there will be a number of fundraising activities guests can take part in.

Tickets for the evening are £5 and can be bought from the Sports Club or by contacting Margaret Welch, Fundraising Group Secretary on [email protected] or on 07526572929

The Newton Aycliffe Fundraising Group will raise vital funds so Marie Curie Nurses can continue to provide free care to people with terminal illnesses.

The group support Marie Curie’s major fundraising campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and Blooming Great Tea Party, as well as promoting fundraising within the local community and encouraging new supporters to help the charity.

Hayley Revell, Community Fundraiser at Marie Curie, said: “The Newton Aycliffe Fundraising Group can make a huge difference locally by helping to raise the vital funds needed to support Marie Curie Nurses, who provide free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.”
