Newton Aycliffe’s first team could only manage a winning draw at home to Marton after their last two batsmen frustrated Aycliffe for 22 overs with an unbroken 10th wicket partnership of 61 to deny the home side a well earned victory. Jack Slatcher (pictured above, sponsored by Dean and Tina Greaves) was the pick of the Aycliffe bowlers finishing his marathon 13 over spell with the outstanding figures of 5 for 31.
