Aycliffe’s first team finally got their first league win of the season after a stunning bowling performance helped them to an eight wicket victory at home to Rockliffe Park 1st XI. Opening bowlers Jack Slatcher and Michael Howe (sponsored by Yvonne and Bob Wood, pictured above) were almost unplayable as the pair combined superbly to help skittle the visitors for just 43 runs.
The win lifts Aycliffe to eighth in the table with 54 points and with a game in hand over the teams directly above them in the NYSD 2nd division table.
