Awards sponsorship adds up for fast-growing accountancy group

March 29th, 2022 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

A fast-growing accountancy group is the latest firm to throw its weight behind a returning business awards event.

The Make Your Mark awards, in association with headline sponsors Husqvarna, will return with a glamorous awards ceremony – organised by Aycliffe Business Park Community (ABPC) – at Redworth Hall Hotel on Friday, May 20.

Think Kudos, based on Aycliffe Business Park, has grown its team to 44 from 30 in the last two years.

The firm has also opened a second 2,200 sq ft office in Sherburn Hill, Durham, which houses 17 of its employees, while its client base has increased to 1,600 customers from up and down the UK.

The Think Kudos group is now made up of nine brands which covers accounting, commercial finance, wealth management and insurance, as well as an asset and fleet division.

Kudos has joined an impressive list of backers for the 2022 Make Your Mark awards, sponsoring the Employer of the Year category.

Director Jonathan Tait said: “As a proud Newton Aycliffe business, we’re delighted to be involved in helping to make these awards happen.

“We’ve been on the business park since the firm was formed nine years ago, and we’ve seen a lot of developments in that time, so it’s fantastic to see that our neighbours’ achievements will once again be celebrated with what is a much-needed event.”

Fellow director Matthew McConnell said: “It’s really important that we highlight all our achievements – as individual businesses, but also as a collective business park.

“We’re sure the Make Your Mark awards will be a fantastic celebration and something we hope all local businesses get on board with.”

Kudos joins headline sponsors Husqvarna and category sponsors Gestamp, Ebac, Stiller, Business Durham, Richardson Barberry and Jacksons Law Firm in supporting the Make Your Mark awards.

ABPC business development manager Martin Walker added: “Kudos’ involvement in the Make Your Mark awards proves that they appeal to businesses of all shapes and sizes.

“The awards are backed by three of the business park’s biggest employers, while Kudos is one of the fastest-growing accountancy groups in the region, employing 44 people.

“It’s also great to see support from so many of the varying sectors we have on Aycliffe Business Park.

“It really shows that everyone is getting on board with Make Your Mark and making them possible.”

Any businesses interested in sponsoring the Make Your Mark awards, or would like more details, can either call Martin Walker on 01325 728024 or email [email protected].
