Freelance media consultant based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Martin is a trained journalist, having completed his NCTJ newspaper journalism qualification with the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette. He has since worked for the media and publications team at Middlesbrough Football Club (2000-05) and the media department at Sunderland Football Club (2005-09) before setting up his own company, Mantis Media, in the summer of 2009.
He’s now Maaging Editor of Mantis Media Ltd, which has offices in Newton Aycliffe and Middlesbrough, and represents a number of clients covering a broad range of industries including construction, manufacturing, education, politics and sport, as well as managing and editing all Mantis Media publications including Aycliffe Today Business, Tees Business and www.aycliffetoday.co.uk

Glen Robertson
Sports Journalist

Sports journalist who works for the Press Association in Howden, East Yorkshire. Glen graduated with a BA (Hons) in sports journalism and the media from the University of Huddersfield in 2011. He worked for Darlington Football Club up until the club went into administration before moving to the Press Association. Glen has been a volunteer at Newton Aycliffe FC for three years, contributing to the club’s award-winning matchday programme, which he became editor of in July 2012.  He contributes to www.aycliffetoday.co.uk in his spare time, covering the town’s various sports.

Paul McGeary
Contributor

Ad-hoc sports contributor who lists Darlington Football Club, Middlesbrough Football Club, Newton Aycliffe Football Club, Mantis Media and www.aycliffetoday.co.uk among former and current subscriptions. Paul is a Maths teacher and puts his profession to use outside of the classroom in the capacity of Newton Aycliffe FC’s Treasurer, Statistician and Historian. Paul was the Editor of Newton Aycliffe FC’s official matchday programme for three years (2009-1012), winning league acclaim as three times consecutive winner of the league’s Programme Editor of the Year award.
