One of Aycliffe’s biggest employers has been acknowledged for its safety record.

The Heighington Lane site achieved a total of 14 consecutive RoSPA gold awards in the organsiation’s annual occupational health and safety scheme to get the top award.

RoSPA award manager David Rawlins congratulated 3M, saying: “The RoSPA Awards programme provides well-deserved recognition for the winners and spurs on others to raise their srandards of accident and ill-health prevention.”

Adrian Hughes, the site’s safety, health and environmental manager, said: “We’re really proud of our safety record here at Aycliffe and gaining this award for the fifth time highlights the efforts that all our employees have put in during the past year.”
