Publishers launch new national magazine to promote region

July 11th, 2019 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

Aycliffe Today’s sister company is launching a new annual publication to promote the Tees region to the rest of the UK and beyond – with advertising opportunities now available.

Middlesbrough-based Resolution Media and Publishing – which is jointly owned by Newton Aycliffe-based Mantis Media director Martin Walker, editor of Aycliffe Today – is launching This Is Tees Valley, with the first issue due to be published later this year.

With an initial print run of 10,000, the high-quality publication will promote the businesses, investment opportunities, people, lifestyle and living spaces available in the region.

Supported by the Tees Valley Combined Authority and mayor Ben Houchen, This Is Tees Valley will be the ultimate print marketing tool for the region.

But it also gives individual businesses and organisations the opportunity to promote themselves to the movers and shakers, business leaders, politicians and potential investors across the UK and beyond.

This Is Tees Valley will launch with an impressive distribution across the UK including the Tees Valley and wider North-East region.

Resolution director Walker, who launched the Aycliffe Today Business magazine model seven years ago which led to the creation of Tees Business, said: “We’re excited about this venture which is another new publication we’re adding to our stable of magazines.

“This isn’t just an exciting opportunity for businesses in the Tees Valley region, it’s also a fantastic chance for all companies and organisations across the North-East region to promote their products or services to a wide-reaching business audience which will spread across the UK and overseas.

“We’re confident it will be a success and, as we continue to grow our team, we look forward to revealing plans for more new publications very soon.”

Although exact circulation figures for This Is Tees Valley are still being finalised, of the initial 10,000 copies it’s envisaged 1,000 will be mailed direct to investors, politicians with business briefs and influencers.

Around 2,000 copies will be circulated in the North-East region, while another 2,000 will go to local businesses to take with them on business trips.

Around half of them, about 5,000 copies, will be circulated to businesses around the country at UK-wide exhibitions and conferences.

Tees mayor Ben Houchen – pictured above (centre) with Resolution directors Walker (right) and Dave Allan – added: “We have to be unashamedly positive about our fantastic assets and opportunities and we have to pitch this to a wider world.

“With the launch of This Is Tees Valley, we have a great chance to come together to get our voices heard across the UK and shout about the game-changing projects happening here.

“This publication will show off our great companies, organisations and institutions, getting them in front of some of the country’s biggest investors, business leaders and decision-makers.

“I look forward to seeing this magazine go from strength to strength.”

Aycliffe Today Business was the inspiration behind the pilot Tees Business publication, which then led to the launch of Resolution Media and Publishing.

Tees Business has since grown to a 100+ page, perfect bound quarterly publication, while Resolution also publish the Tees Valley’s only lifestyle magazine, Tees Life.

Space in This Is Tees Valley is available from £295 (quarter page ads), to £495 (half page), £845 (full page) and £1,395 (double page spread).

To book, email [email protected] or call Resolution on 01642 450255.
