Locals ‘Dive In!’ to PCP Pool Campaign

November 7th, 2019 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) have been blown away with the generosity of organisations donating to the ‘Dive In!’ Hydrotherapy pool campaign this year, and the final stretch is looking closer than ever.

The Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe welcomed Woodham Golf Club Captain Ian McKenna, who donated £2,280 and went to visit Honest John who also donated an amazing £1,000 to the campaign to renovate the 20 year old pool within the centre.

Woodham Golf Club’s Charity of the Year scheme awarded the Pioneering Care Partnership as one of the two charities supported this year.

The members of the golf club have had a very busy year through organising raffles, auctions and 100 square draws as well as a golf day and an evening event.

Ian said: “Although the Captains Day was a total washout with over a 140 Members and Guests still participating in the golf day, there was plenty of pay-out as members enjoyed a wonderful evening and donated over £2000 for the Dive In charity.”

Meanwhile, Honest John has been hard at work in his bric-a-brac shop giving back to Newton Aycliffe.

He has generously donated a lot to PCP over the years and very kindly added another £1,000 into the campaign pot saying “it’s a small drop in the total required, however each one gets you closer to the overall goal.”

For further information about PCP please contact us at the Pioneering Care Centre, Carer’s Way, Newton Aycliffe,DL5 4SF tel: 01325 321234 email: [email protected] website: www.pcp.uk.net.
